Emmanuelle Lainé exhibition, Beneath the Surface are the Same Internal Organs as Everyone Else

Exhibition inside the Patio art gallery of the villa Arson from the 5th of june to the 29th of august 2016, 20 avenue Stephen Liégeard, 06105 Nice Cedex 2, open all the days, except tuesdays, from 2pm to 6pm from september to june and from 2pm to 7pm in july and august, free entrance.

Since the beginning of february 2016 Emmanuelle Lainé uses the art gallery of the Patio as her own studio. She interrogates herself towards her exhibition to the disillusionement of the industrial society and the tertiary sector and so she collects some obsolete objects of these economic sectors in factories or civil administrations. She organizes workshops with a dozen of students and the visitors are welcomed. These meetings inspire the artist when she uses the topography of this place (a maze) and also the color of this place (a patio painted in red) for finding a place for all the objects. Emmanuelle Lainé hides the windows of the art gallery and sticks pictures on walls and windows. This exhibition has no them. Emmanuelle Lainé puts each object in a place without following a logical way. The them of the exhibition can be understands, induces or finds at the end of the exhibition. Emmanuelle Lainé uses a small camera for tacking pictures who explain how the exhibition has been built.
