The movie "Honky" speaks about a true love story between two high school students from different backgrounds in the USA. Sheila a black girl belongs to the upper class and Wayne a white boy comes from a poor background. They meet together at a party and fall immediately in love. Sheila and Wayne live with a big intensity their passion in spite of the gossips and the ugly watches of some people around them. Their love story looks like a fairy tale but their fathers are prejudiced. The Sheila father doesn't like the Whites and the Wayne father doesn't like the Blacks.
One night they are making hitch - hiking and they fall on two white drunk racists (rednecks). These two racists harass Sheila using sexual insults then suddenly they go away. Sheila and Wayne think that they have rid of these two guys but they come back. They knock out Wayne and rape Sheila. Wounded Wayne succeeds to find these two guys and to kill them with a stone. This Blaxploitation movie shines with the cute Brenda Sykes and John Neilson and the two composers Quincy Jones and Bradford Craig have been nominated at the 1972 Golden Globes awards for the best song for "Something more".
