Cratch exhibition

The Eva Medin exhibition at the Station gallery, Grande Halle 109, "Les Abattoirs" 89 route de Turin, 06300 Nice, open from 2pm to 7pm, entrance free,

The artist and film director Eva Medin is borned in Montreuil (France). She has followed her artistic studies at the Fine Arts school and has directed short movies like "Le roi est nu". Eva Medin estimates that the different types of disciplines she uses (art and videos) represent different terms of speaking where the writing goes to one space to another the "Cratch exhibition" follows this way. When she lived in the Contemporary Art Center 116 she has directed a movie with young children. Before the shooting Eva Medin has observed the adults working and the children playing with their toys. With a small crew (a cameraman, a composer and a designer) she made a space ship and a small set. Eva Medin directs the children playing with the ship and the set following their own imagination. The ship figures inside the "Cratch exhibition" with the movie but the movie is screened inside the ship for giving a realistic approach of the film atmosphere. This movie and the three others installations included in the exhibition are a reference to the directors that Eva Medin like (Jacques Tati, Buster Keaton, Charlie Chaplin).
