Cap Sosno exhibition

The Saint - Jean - Cap - Ferrat municipality exhibits the Sasha Sosno sculptures one of the well known member of the School of Nice. His widow Masha and his assistant Hervé Nys have built with the help of municipality a way for discovering the obliteration concept. During the 1960's Sosno was a war reporter in Biafra, in Ireland and in Bangladesh and he makes some bloody pictures. Sosno decides to use black and red ribbons (the colors of the press at this time) for hiding the most bloody details.

Sasha Sosno sculptures

During three years Sosno and his wife travel in the Atlantic ocean on a boat. In each port of call (Porto, Caracas, ...) he exhibits his own work. When Sosno and his wife comes back to Nice he begins sculpting. He uses Greek and Roman models for translating his own obliteration. With the cuttings the eye can see what happen behind the sculpture. The eye fixes at the same time the sculpture and happen behind the sculpture.
