Introduced as a satire of the contemporary art world "The Square" movie is rather a critic of a Stockholm museum director private and public life. Christian the main character lead perfectly the different facets of his job. He knows how building an exhibition, how speaking with the donors and also how communicating but a serial of unexpected events will disturb his daily life. During a press conference Christian must answers to insidious questions asking by a journalist but he is disturb by shootings of a man. The advertising campaign about the exhibition is a real disaster because it shows a child killed by an exploded bomb. The Christian phone and pocket bag is stolen and he succeeds to find them again with the help of the GPS but he is a victim of a car crash. Christian is also a non authoritarian father who fall in love with a psychopath woman. Ruben Ostlun d has has already explored the them of a powerful man broken by unexpected events. He interests himself now tot the powerful man private life. He disturbs the spectator until the paroxysm but his sens of humor helps for breaking down the tension.
