The influence of wives, mistresses, models on the working process of famous artists is evident an is also the topic of two main exhibitions on the French Riviera : first at the Matisse Museum and second at the Bonnard Museum. The Bonnard Museum highlight artists with their inspiring woman that Bonnard liked. Forty canvas introduce us inside inspiring love stories of Picasso and Jacqueline, Vollard and Misia, Matisse and Lydia, Giacometti with Annette and Dina. These artistic contributions are important but we shouldn't forget that Bonnard has improved two passions with different destinies he translates inside his own canvas. Bonnard falls in love with Marthe and after with Renée. During a long time he hesitates between the both and finally he gets married with Marthe. Neglected Renée kills herself. Bonnard will improve a deep sorrow and he will never paint passion by using cold colors.
