When the 1929 krach strikes Europe the Danish carpenter Ole Kirk Christiansen must retrain himself in wood making toys. He imagines small bricks who can be put together one by one and named his new game "Lego" who means "Leg Godt" (play well) in Danish language. Ole Kirk Christiansen leaves the wood for the rubber during the 1950's, builds his first legoland in 1969 and also his firts figurine in 1978. Lego helps to develop the imagination without any danger in several scales who involve all the themes. Now Lego tributes the first and the second French empires at the Massena Museum in building objects (civil code, chair, hat, harp). Among these buildings the visitor can wonders himself with the Gros canvas representing Napoleon ridding a horse or the Josephine Malmaison hot house.
