The fondness of food notion rises up with period of times. For the church fathers (Aristote, Bossuet) the fondness of food is a sin (the 7th) but this restrictive point of view evolves in Abbeys during the Middle - Age where we can see a relaxation in discipline and a looking for more sensibility (Mimi La Doze). Understanding this evolution the Innocent IX pope admits that eating isn't a sin anymore because it's impossible to eat without improving any feelings. The motive plays an important part in eating and we can make a distinction between eating and being a gluttony man. The eater appreciates a meal (Brian Caddy) know how eating (Thierry Boussard) and also because eating is a quality (Jean - Philippe Roubaud). The meal excites senses (Danielle Androff, Jean - Marie Riviello) and gives some pleasures in life (Raoul Hébréard). The meal plays a real educative part who improves our society way of living as the philosoph Charles Fourier thinks about by developing the rising, the wisdom and travelling needs (Sophie Menuet).
