The exhibition at the Villa Paloma rehabilites the art work of Eugene Frey considers by some art critics as a little master. The exhibition shows that some interactions exist between Eugene Frey and the contemporary artists. Following the shadows theaters and magical lights he invents the lightning shootings putting together photography, paintings and glasses. The Eugen Frey art inscribes itself in those of Caran D'Ache (shadow pieces), of Emmanuel Cottier (mechanical theater), of Lotter Reiniger and Michel Ocelot (silhouette movies) and Georges Méliés (movie making). Eugene Frey plies at the Monaco Opera between 1900 and 1924 and his lightning sets painted on glasses and shot on canvas stays famous. The Villa Paloma asks to Joao Maria Gusmao a contemporary artist to tribute Eugene Frey art work. Gusmao screened pictures on several places of the Villa playing with the architecture.
