Jérémy Saulnier filmes like Tobe Hooper does a group of young people belonging to counter - culture who find themselves in front of a huge violence but "Green Room" owns a political message away from the Hooper movies. A rock group members travels among the United - States stealing food or gazoline because they don't have enough money for living. At Portland they meet a thirty years old people proposing them to perform in a club standing in the middle of the forest for earning money. On place they see walls full of nazis insignias. Shocked by that they decide to change the words of their first song for making a manifesto against the far right. The audience seems to be surprised first but the concert moves on. At the end the members group go for taking their money and leaving that place but the lead female singer sees by hazard a murder. Like a guru the club director leads the people working or going in and he gives the order to kill all the group members. After a bloody assault two members succeed to escape for calling police but find before and fortuitously a drug lab because this club hides a drug dealing.
