The Grimaldi Castle Museum welcomes for a travel towards time black and white pictures made by the famous French photographer Jean Gilletta who all belong to the Cessole knight library. The post card inventor helps to build a local identity around the city of Cagnes - sur - Mer, his Castle and also the small harbor of Cros - de - Cagnes. All the pictures chosen by the organisers follow some criteriums like representativity, originality and framing underlining the beauty of landscapes or the workers (fishermen, tram drivers) daily life. These pictures deal with the story of Cagnes - sur - Mer between the middle of the 19th century to the roaring twenties.
