"Paris 1969" deals with the story of a lost German generation between the ending of the 1960's until the middle of the 1970's. The Emperor of Iran Mohammed Shah Pahlavi moves to Berlin in June 1967 for an official visit but strong demonstrations happen against that. An unknown group with three people Andreas, Gudrun and Thorwald decide to commit arsons in the city of Francfort. After they move quickly with a young girl names Astrid for escaping to the police. The four protagonists succeed to arrive in France and finding a safe place inside the appartment belonging to the famous French writer Regis Debray but some dissensions appear between them. Andreas and Gudrun follow the purpose to organize radical actions then Thorwald is more sceptical rejecting violence. Andreas using his charm takes the control of Gudrun and Astrid in spite of the fact that he looks like an uneducated man. The definitive breaking between Andreas and Thorwald arrives when they read in papers that bombs have exploded in Italy. Andreas takes the two ladies with him and go to Heidelberg. Thorwald prefers staying in France refusing such way of doing.
