The unclassifiable Julia Béna art style is built on mixing between genders and medias. She twists tools and also pictures representing famous characters from novels, movies or theaters for creating her fiction world. The exhibition at the Square gallery finds it's roots inside a movie gender the western borns with film making at the beginning of the 20th century and following motion picture industry history until now. This gender idealizes landscapes and pioneers moving from East coast to West coast looking for a better life. Julia Béna builds installations or black sculptures dealing with pioneers life like a horse or raw landscape.
