The Andreï Pouanov documentary deals with the Christo Vladimiroff Jovacheff known as Christo and Jeanne - Claude Donat de Guillebon as Jeanne - Claude way of working. The both love gigantism sizes and believe in real things but usefuless and who don't stay any longer. Everything begins in Bulgaria when this son of a businessman follows art studies and leaves the communism system after. Christo meets his wife Jeanne - Claude during the portrait painting of Jeanne - Claude mother's and will live with her fifty years of adventures. They live deeply their artistic dream and must negociate all the times for doing that leaded by a strong faith. The film director underlines their talent towards many interviews showing Christo and Jeanne - Claude working hard convincing those who don't like their vison of art or for directing teams in spite of some failures ("Over the river", Arkansas). "Christo, walking on water" highlights the project building about the floating footbridge on the Isia lake in Italy. Vladimir the Christo's nevew moves in a kind of comical face to face with his uncle but full of passion when they deal with the Isia project. Christo lives in his dream and wants to break the borders but Vladimir must fight against the scepticism of the Italians, finding solutions about logistics challenges and keeping the control of the project.
