The town twinning between Monaco and Alexandrie seems something surprising because these harbors don't have the same way of living and also the same number of inhabitants but it exists a connection the cosmopolitan. The cosmopolitan comes from the words kosmo (world) and polités (citizens) and can be translated as watching the earth as a father land. Monaco and Alexandrie both welcome talented strangers offering them opportunities for building their dreams. "Monaco - Alexandrie. The big detour. World - cities and cosmopolitan surrealism" gives a huge part to surrealism highlighting the unknown Egyptian surrealism. It also underlines forgotten and free characters like Valentine de Saint - Point leading a famous vanguard salon, plays writer and committed with the Italian futurists.
