"X" directed by Ti West finds his roots inside the famous Tobe Hooper's "Texas chainsaw massacre" (1974). Hooper follows towards his own camera four young people on the Texas streets during a hot summer day until their killing when they want to move in a farm near the place they live in. Like Hooper does Ti West uses also the 1970's when video tape becomes to be higher. Five young people rent a farm where they follow the will to film a "X" rated movie for making money. Everything seems to be all right until their meeting with th landlord farm. Known for his collaboration on "The Exorcist" and "Scream" Ti West takes all the possibilities given by a camera for building an athmosphere leaded by fear. He plays with the words desire and frustration he rises up until the last scene where he puts together violence and humor.
