Known for two documentaries ("les deux visages d'une femme" (2016) and "chez Jolie coiffure" (2018) the film maker Rosine Mbakam do her first feature movie dealing about a dressemaker names Pierrette living in the Douala harbor. Classify by the "New Yorker" paper among the most original and sensitive documentaries directors Rosine Mbakam depicts the Pierette daily life where the audience can see her working, keep watching her children, taking care about her old mother and also speaking with her friends who her future shop clients. This courageous and determinate woman must find solutions to life problems like a robbery or her shop destruction by a storm. Rosine Mbakam gives a huge importance to relationships between women as she has already shown in "chez Jolie coiffure" for building economic structures. She takes a camera and filmes directly face to face her topic following the French New Wave exemple during the 1960's. Men in "Mambar Pierrette" movie don't play a part and stay irresponsable like the Pierrette husband or the young thieves except a friend who will mend her old sewing machine. "Mambar Pierrette" highlights a very strong woman but few producers have agreeded to invest in because they aren't attracted by such story or too shy in front of the challenge.
