Based on the book "Elvis and me" written by Priscilla Presley the Elvis Presley former wife the biopic depicted a ten year relationship between a young naïve teenager and a rock singer who becomes to be more intense at the end. Everything begins for Elvis in 1956 with some hits like "Hearbreak Hotel" and a performance in "Love me tender" movie but stops two years after when he goes to military service in Germany. There he meets a young woman names Prisicilla an officer daughter. The parents don't like him in spite of the fact that Elvis stays someone quite. We must notice that the script don't say anything about the Elvis manager the colonel Parker a potent person in the ten first years of his career. After the military service Elvis moves back to USA and under the Parker advices perfoms in many sentimental stories for earning money and building a perfect son - in - law portrait. During these shootings Elvis takes some medecines and drugs living also many love affairs. In 1962 He remembers hismelf the young Priscilla and invites her spending times in Graceland his fairy tale palace. There she follows studies inside an highschool but many people ask themselves about the part she is really playing in. Elvis doesn't want to have sex with her because she is young. The film director Sofia Coppola following #Meetoo tries to highlight the story of a naïve girl inside a world leaded by rich and sex addict men. Of course Elvis lives like a macho from the deep south but Priscilla isn't an innocent woman. She gets married with Elvis have a daughter Maria - Lisa with him but when she understands the meaning of a rock star woman including a husband hunting other women she divorces. Sofia Coppola and her crew have succeeded to recreate the 1960's fashion and decors and her main actress Cailee Speany has been awarded in the Mostra festival. The Sofia Coppola biopic is interesting but stays too people. Nobody has forgotten the Baz Luhrmann "Elvis" where the film director focuses himself on music and twisted the Graceland myth.
