Elizabeth the French woman and Naïm the Afghan come from to two different worlds and culture didn't have any chances meeting them together but one a falling in love will change everything. He parents rather wanted a wedding with a catholic in church but it was a ceremony leaded by feelings and Elizabeth becomes to be princess. Naïm the king of Afghanistan Amanoullah cousin belong to a group of young Afghans send to Europe for learning mondernity and modernizing the country after. The progressive king supports the fight of his wife Soraya against traditionalists including giving education to women, puting the islamic veil out and choosing her husband. This opposition between progressives and traditionalists isn't resolve today like the talibans decrees taken since 2021 prove it. When Elizabeth arrives in Afghanistan after a bad trip the political situation is disturb. Aminullah has falling down and an unaducated and rapist man Bacha e Saqao takes power breaking all the modern rules restoring the charia. His dictatorship lasts one year until the arriving of king Nadir Shah. Many people are poor and Elizabeth must stays at home improving a huge nostalgic feeling about France. On day she receives an invitation from the king Nadir Shah who agrees to help her going back to France with her son Hakim. In the Palace she also meets the Nadir king son the young Zaher who supports modernists people and has written the 1964 liberal constitution. In France she watches the evolution of society specially for women and decide to do the same in Afghanistan. Using her social position as member of the royal family Elizabeth succeeds to receive the support of the authorities for rising up the women cause. Elizabeth opens with the help of diplomat wives in Kaboul and also women from aristocracy some sewing workrooms, a beauty shop and a fashion shop. The men agree with this because women wages is another income for fighting against poverty and also buy gifts inside for their wives. The next step begins when Elizabeth decides one day to let her islamic veil down and sees that nobody say something. Naïm her husband approves what she has done. Later the Prime minister Daoud asks to Elizabeth daughter Sophia going to school without any islamic veil or scarfe just holding a small white veil on her hairs and sunglasses. People say anything and it means something. Many women do the same in the capitale Kaboul and other outside. In Summer 1959 the Prime minister Daoud gives the order to his wife and also to the dignataries wives unmasking herselves.
