The lauves from Tourrettes - sur - Loup

The Rampp Foundation and the City House - Castle highlight some original and artistic things coming from the past of our land. Today the both underline photographers works about older rocks name the Lauves born 15 million years ago building when a primitive sea gets out and the Alps mountain rise up. According with the local language the lauves mean paving stones or flat stones looking like lava casting but made with sediments coming from the primitive sea. On the area near the old railroad station the lauves welcome on a big scale many different species of plants and animals. At first we can find 23 millions years fossiles in secret places and after flawored plants like the vanilla parfumed Orchis. Animals play also an important part with insects, birds or small lizards.
