Chagall, 1966 - 1985. In the Saint - Paul - de - Vence light

During the 1941 spring Marc Chagall is arrested by the police from Vichy but succeeds to receive papers from the journalist Varian Fry and moves to New - York where all the European vanguard stays. At the end of world war two he goes back France and lives few months in Paris before going to the south with his wife Valentina seduce by shiny light and talents (Picasso, Matisse, ...) concentrated there. Inside his own studio Chagall involves a lot in huge projects like stained glasses window (cathédrale de Reims, Art Institute of Chicago), mosaics (Knesset) and ceramic (Madoura). The themes Chagall deals with (self portrait, circus, bible) show us a kind of peaceful mind as an answer of his young disturb years. He involves a lot into the city daily life and also in his last challenge the building of a Museum dedicated to his work and he will see as linving people the opening of the National Marc Chagall Museum where his Bible message plays an important part for the future generations.
