Modern dance founder the Judson Dance Theater performed at the Judson Memorial Church during the 1960's. The group born at the end of the 1950's in the city of San Francisco around Anna Halprin. They leave California state for going to New - York city where they will create an experimental dance on the John Cage and Erik Satie musics. Their performances put together happenings and contemporary art exhibitions. The Judson Dance Theater invents the improvised contact composed by duets (loving, fighting, ...) who integrate all kinds of duets whose the purpose is making a choreography questioning the society.
