One + Uno

Meetings between artists of Carros and San Giustino from the 11th of june to the 28th of august 2016, International Center of Contemporary Art, Castle of Carros, Castle square, 06510 Carros (village), entrance free, open all the days except mondays from 10am to 12.30am and from 2pm to 5.30pm until the 30th of june and open all the days from 10am to 12.30am and from 2.30pm to 6.30pm.

The city of Carros is twin towned with the city of San Giustino in Italy since 1982. The exchanges between these two cities were multiple these last thirty four years but they become to be slower with the increasing of the new virtual medias. The painter and curator of this exhibition Dominique Landucci wants to recreate the cultural exchanges but with using an original way. He chooses themes from the history of art and asks to two artists (a french and an italian) to work together around them.

The exhibition begins with drawing. Drawing create a connection batween the hand and the thinking. The connection can be find inside the art work of the great masters of painting (Patrick Tissier) or help the painter to interrogate about himself (Pietro Pecorari).

The exhibition deals also with painting towards the action painting. This way of painting helps the artist to speak about his personal life with determination and happiness (Pascale Dupont). This action of painting shows also the energy and the will of the artist (Tonino Puletti).

Borns in the beginning of the 1950's in England the Pop Art is also present inside the exhibition. It takes pictures from the publicity, the comics an usual objects for making a critics of the modern society of consumption. The spectator finds this barrow in art and politics (Walter Labra) or in the modern fairy tales (Giancarlo Montuschi).

The ethnic art shows the will of the artists to create some connections between the civilizations. Inside the exhibition the spectator can open his mind with the Jean Thiry's pictures or finding himself represented inside a primitive mask by Maria Cristina Leandri.

The mythologies have also their place in the exhibition because the artists invoke them all the time for finding the inspiration and create the future. His way of creating is like a tribute to his parents (Dominique Landucci) or for giving a tribute to a famous ancestor of the family (Leonardo Vinci).

The singularity of art is underlined by the artists because art can't be definite. Art exist by itself. Art is like a travel book with his own pages and colors (Daniel Fillod). Art is diverse like life is (Giancarlo Matteucci).

The geometric abstraction lyric (Action painting) and th geometric abstraction privilege an easy ritual, few colors and rejects the affectivity. This abstraction incites the artist to go to the essential (Simone Anticaglia) or helps the artist to take our hands (Elizabeth Foyé).

The material is the result of a meeting between the sensibility of the artist and the painting. This meeting is materialized by some cardboard stick together and splashes of colors (Sisca). This meeting is also creating with some clothes painting in black and white colors. These colors screenplay their stories.

The glass is an old art but he knows a new bearth. The artist understands and dominates the glass (Antonella Forsetti) for improving his own way of making (Isabelle Poilprez). Towards his art work the artist underlines the both qualities of the glass : his strength and his fragility.

The picture ended the exhibition. With the picture the artist gives an importance to all the components. He frames, selects, and fixes all of them for the eternity (Valter Lazzerini).
