The story of the Martin Luther king's fight is divided in an official part the 1963 speech whose the result will be the "Civil Right Act" (1964) and the "Voting Right Act" (1965) and a forgotten part after 1965 ended in 1968 by the assassination of King at the Lorraine Motel (Memphis). Martin Luther King understands that poverty is the other face of racism during the Watts riots near L.A. (1965) and it's also the first time when Americans can watch ghettos on TV. Martin Luther King has built a connection with the president Johnson since the beginning of the civil rights movement and wants to be the mediator between the White House and the African - American community. Sensitive to socially aware when he was a teacher Johnson proposes the program "War on poverty" in which African - Americans would have social welfare but the Viet - Nam war will disturb this politics. Martin Luther King decides to commit himself by living with his family in suburbs near Chicago with the purpose to encourage the Chicago major Daley constructing new modern buildings for the poors. King does like this because he has understood that people moving in violent background become violent after.

 

At the national level Martin Luther King comes to terms with many politicians who don't want the social equality. Riots happen during the summer 1967 and King builds a speech more radical about Viet - Nam war, racism and poverty because they are all connected. The Johnson president reacts by breaking all relationships with Martin Luther King and asks to the FBI director Hoover to do everything he can for destroying King. Hoover will create fake news with the goal to make a bad reputation about King. Touches but not killed he decides to lead an interracial walk names "The poors campaign" towards the country until the capitale Washington. King thinks that too many money is sent to Viet - Nam war and a part of that will help resolving poverty in America but he will be assassinate April 4th 1968 at the Lorraine Motel by a white supremacist. Owervelmeded with grief Johnson sees that he has lost the only one who could help him and he decides to support the "Fair Accurring Act" for distroying the segragation in houses renting. The walk proposes by King stays but without anu success beacause the leader passes away.
