Influenced by the Blaxploitation movies (movies where the African - American perform in main characters) the film director Jean - Claude Barny deals with a real fact that has never been shooted. During the 1970's the BUMIDOM (a french administration office available for the french West Indies) proposes to the inhabitants of the french West Indies to go to France for earning good wages because the french factories need to have some workers. When he arrives in Paris with his young daughter Jimmy Larivière understands that everything is wrong. His meeting with three idealists West Indies men incite him to fight against the system and to hold up some post offices. This film shows us the other side of the french dream but with few action scenes.
