Tracey Moffatt, the silent warrior

The Australian photographer and film director Tracey Moffatt gives a huge importance to silence when she is working but nobody should trust this silence. This aboriginal mixed race inserts ethnic origins and childhood traumas in the heart of her powerful art work. Adopted by a White worker class family during her childhood Tracey follows studies at the Queensland College of Art (1982) and becomes te be famous with the "Nice colored girls" serial pictures (1985) where she put together parts od Autralian history with personal archives. The serial pictures "Something more" deals with the part playing by women in our modern society and  show us also her own art style mixing pictures in a complex understanding. Trace Moffatt has been exhibited in some famous museums like the Tate or the Guggenheim and awarded by the Victoria Honour Roll of Women and is officier of The Australian Order (2016).
