Eva Barto exhibition : to set property on fire

Exhibition at the Cyprès art gallery inside the villa Arson from the 5th of june to the 29th of august 2016, 20 avenue Stephen Liégeard 06105 Nice Cedex 2, open all the days, except the tuesdays, from 2pm to 6pm from september to june and from 2pm to 7pm in july and august, free entrance.

The exhibition of Eva Barto inside the Cyprès art gallery speaks about the story of the villa owner's between the end of the 18th century and the middle of the 19th century. The first consul of Nice and also banker Pierre - Joseph Arson have met a mathematician Josef Hoëne - Wronsky who pretended than he could find the formula for transforming an ordinary metal in gold. Interested by the profit he can realizes Arson decides to invest all his money in the Wronsky's work. The formula doesn't exist and Arson prosecutes Wronsky. This news item will inspire the famous french writer Honoré de Balzac when he will write his book "La recherche de l'absolu". Eva Barto transforms the art gallery for putting the spectator inside a speculative area and for familiarizing him with gambling and stock market. The goal of Eva Barto is to show us the dark side of speculation.
