OVNi, Objective video Nice (2018)

Art Video Festival, video ways, videos in the city from November 16 to November 25, 2018 and videos in hotels from November 24 to November 25, 2018.

The video surveillance system rises up highly in France but the OVNi Festival rather invite the Nice inhabitants to keep watching the videos. This festival shares itself in two differents parts. The first incites to follow a way between twenty differents structures (museums, art galleries, hotels) in a collaborative project in places full of stories. The Victoria hotel welcomes American art work, the Villa Rivoli receives PinkPong and the Malmaison opens his doors to South Korean artists. The video will also find his place inside the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art inside the Judson Theater exhibition or in Espace à Vendre gallery and Eva Vautier gallery who tribute the free figuration.

The second part of this Festival will happen at the Windsor hotel and will conclude itself with the Suspences awards given by journalists, experts and collectors. The owner of the Windsor hotel Bernard Redolfi Strizzot has played an important part in the building of this video festival. He visited a festival in Belgium named "friends rooms" in 1986 organized by Jan Hoet and he loved the concept who consisted to transform appartments or houses to art galleries. He reproduced this, concept inside his hotel and his niece Odile founded the OVNi festival. Inside the Windsor we can see a purple lift and pink elephants in the bar. Among the exhibited artists we can find Pierrick Sorin, Emma Picard and gardens set by the art gallery Continua artists.
