Patrick Hanez begins his photographic career by buying a FUJICA STX1 camera. Before this man from Aubervilliers living in Nice has followed science studies. Patrick Hanez learns the photography basis with a professionnal who underlines the importance of framing and ligthning and doesn't hesitate using computers for making better pictures. The Patrick Hanez photographies look like canvas where colors and composition play an important part. This curious man highlights instant because he interests himself about everything around him. Patrick Hanez uses differents art styles (portrait, abstraction or cooking pictures) and collaborates with famous magazines ("The Voce", "Runaway magazine"). He finds inspiration among the French humanist tradition (Robert Doisneau, Henri Cartier - Bresson, Lucien Clergue, Plisson) ant thinks as the famous navigator Olivier de Kersauson does that shooners have discovered the world and own also many legends.
