The film director, actress and script writer Maïwenn speaks about the rising of a young woman coming from people who will integrate the nobleness before becoming the last favorite of the French king Louis XV. In 1764 everything seens to be wrong for the king because he looses his popularity, his son and his wife. For fighting against the king melancholy the maréchal de Richelieu and the first valet Lebel share the idea to introduce a girl the young Jeanne. Maïwenn doesn't hesitate to break the myth and show us Jeanne du Barry among sex parties, owning a very sensitive personnality or directing fashion. Jeanne du Barry will be in love affair with the king until the end in 1774 and after will be chase away by the king's daughter and the next queen Marie Antoinette. Leaving alone Jeanne stays in her castle in a simply life until the French Revolution. She will be arrested at the end of 1793 prosecuted for her relationship with monarchy and sentences to death. Johnny Depp performs with a high credibility the former king Louis XV an impassive man prisoner of the etiquette face to face with Maïwenn a cute and free woman full of life. The screening of "Jeanne du Barry" happens at the beginning of the Cannes Film Festival and some #Meetoo members supporting the former Depp wife Amber Heard use this event for making a protest. In spite of this very short thing the audience inside the theater gives a long standing ovation to the film crew including Johnny Depp.
