At the right moment, Exhibition of the 2016 Villa Arson promotion

Exhibition from the 3rd of July to the 18th of September 2016 at the Villa Arson, open everyday except tuesdays, from 2pm to 7pm (from 2pm to 6pm in September), phone : 04.92.07.73.73, and at the Art Gallery de la Marine from the 2nd of July to the 2nd of October 2016, 59 quai des Etats - Unis, open everyday except mondays, from 10am to 6pm, phone : 04.93.91.92.92, fee : free, curator : Bernard Marcadé.

The exhibition curator Bernard Marcadé defines the 2016 graduated villa Arson promotion under the words "At the right moment" because the main idea is much more a spirit than an art style or a school. The dictionary explain us that "At the right moment" means something acceptable or unacceptable. The thirty young artists who showcase their artistic work in the Villa Arson's studios formulate thirty propositions for showing the pertinence of their works.

Inside the studios maze the visitor can interest himself firstly with the gallery d'Essay. He could watch provocative work but also work around the sea. Other works worried about the link between occidentalism and orientalism but always in a light spirit.

The sculpture studio incite the visitor to go to a darkest place for understanding better the meaning of painting and also the fight against the avant - garde heroïsm.

Inside the studios Scène - Haut and Scène - Bas the artists underline the notions of pieces and framing for creating self - portraits. It involves to speak about the context and they take as exemple the famous "Bates Motel" from the Hitchcock's movie "Psycho" (1960).

The artists solicit the visitors inside the Old metal studio. They must listen, watch and understand the movements for understanding and also finding the mistakes.
