Awarded as best documentary serie during the last CanneSeries Festival "Draw for change" deals with women cartoonists in Mexico, United - States, Russia, India, Syria and Egypt. They all speak towards their cartoons about the women way of living in their countries and also testify about their fights for staying free against those who want to persecute or kill them. The first episod of this TV serie highlights the Amany Al Ali work in Idlib (Syria) a place infiltrated by many radical djihadists and bombing by Assad planes with the support of Putin. Borns in a country leaded by the Assad family dictatorship she thought that Arab springs of the 2010's could change everything but nothing happen and she decides to draw for saving her life. Amany Al Ali follows some drawing lessons in an elementary school without saying anything to her family. When her parents understand that drawing means something for her they reject their daughter. The Amany Al Ali cartoons expose the cruelty of war and the hypocrisy of the both sides leaders. Her works becomes to be famous abroad in Facebook posts or in European exhibitions. One day Amany Al Ali has taken the decision to immigrate in Europe because she was fed up by war but few days after she decides staying in Syria for living her dream building a cartoonist university for women older and younger.
