Since 1880 the flawored flower names Victoria Violet is cultivated in the Tourettes - sur - Loup village where the weather stays fine with hot summer, not so cold winters and rainy autumns. Only three families works in small fields build in restanques. The picking happen in February and March is used first for making small and nice bunches and the rest moves to factories for being soaps, creams, parfumes or sweeties. Violets mean many thing all over the centuries like curing in Roman civilization or putting together soldiers and partisans for Napoléon the first. Today two photographers Geneviève Roy and Marc Belli highlight with their cameras the story of the violets fields owners and don't hesitate to introduce some old pictures or post cards giving us a new watch on this unknown part of local story.
